- 4 eggs.
- 6 tablespoons oil.
- 100 gr sugar.
- 5 tablespoons flour.
- 3 tablespoons ground walnuts.
- 2 tablespoons bitter cocoa.
- 1 pinch of salt.
- 5 gr baking powder.
Preparation time: less than 60 minutes
RECIPE PREPARATION Walnut cake:
For the beginning, mix the eggs with a little salt and sugar until they become foam, gradually add the oil. Then add flour, baking powder and walnuts and mix in a juice. In a smaller bowl put a few tablespoons of the composition that is mixed with cocoa.
Prepare the cake pan, grease it well or cover it with baking paper. Put the composition in the pan and bake for 20 minutes at 180 °.
Lent check with coffee and walnuts
On the weekend that my family wanted something sweet. And, as it is still fasting, in order to "reconcile" everyone, I made a fasting cake. But I didn't want it to be a simple cake, so I used coffee instead of water. All good and beautiful, except that my son would have eaten from the cake.
So the idea of making coffee, although tempting, no longer seemed a good one. But, as I am not a big drinker of coffee and as a good period of time I really did not drink coffee at all for health reasons, I had chicory coffee in the house. So I used this one instead of the regular coffee.
If you do not have problems with coffee consumption or you do not have children in the house to consume from this cake, you can easily replace the chicory coffee with the usual one, from coffee beans.
Otherwise, there is not much to do with this fasting cake. It is made very easily, like any fasting dessert. It is enough to mix the liquid and solid ingredients separately, then combine them and cook them, put the composition in the oven and wait.

300 g caster sugar
1 sachet of vanilla sugar
1 cup cold water
16 tablespoons oil
16 tablespoons flour
peel from 1 blade & acircie
1 ammonium sachet for cakes
lemon & acircie juice
1 teaspoon cocoa
2 teaspoons rum essence
finely chopped walnuts and pre-baked & icircn
Method of preparation
Wash the eggs. Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
Grease the bowl with which you will beat the egg whites with the juice of a slice of lemon. This trick will make the dough fluffier.
In the bowl in which you will put the yolks, sprinkle a pinch of salt.
Beat the egg whites, stir for 2-3 minutes on your own, after which you can gradually add 300 g of caster sugar. Meanwhile, stir in the vanilla sugar sachet.
So that the foam is stronger and the sugar melts better & icircn all this time gradually add and 1 cup cold water.
Separately, mix the yolks with 16 tablespoons of oil, added gradually, until the composition becomes like mayonnaise.
When the two compositions are ready, mix: the yolks are poured over the mixture of egg whites, beating continuously.
After, put & icircn rain, gradually, 16 tablespoons of flour.
At the end, add the peel of 1 lemon, 1 sachet of ammonium for cakes previously dissolved in a cup of lemon juice. Pour over the cake composition and stir a little.
Although many use baking soda, ammonium breaks down much better. Also, ammonium can also be dissolved in vinegar, although lemon juice is preferred.
When it is ready, half of this composition is placed in another bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of cocoa, mix and add 2 teaspoons of rum essence.
Take two forms of cake or cake (the cake will grow quite a lot, so the cake shapes are also suitable), grease them with oil and line them with flour.
Pour a quarter of the white composition into each shape. After that, a quarter of the cocoa composition adds a little chopped walnuts, roasted and cooled beforehand.
Mix the compositions with the tail of a teaspoon.
Then, put what is left of the white composition, respectively the black composition, mix again with the tail of a teaspoon, and at the end sprinkle walnuts on top.
Put in the oven and leave for about 30-35 minutes. Place on a wooden board and powder with powdered sugar.
Fasting check with nuts
1. Put in a bowl the sugar, oil, water, salt powder and rum essence. Mix all ingredients well and then add the flour mixed with baking powder and baking soda.
At this fasting cake you can use different types of nuts, not only the classic, Romanian ones
2. Mix the flour well so that it does not remain lumpy, then add the chopped walnuts.
3. Grease the cake tin with oil and cover with flour, then pour the composition.
4. Put the cake in the oven, and when it is ready, take it out, leave it to cool, then powder it with sugar.

For the dough:
-2 teaspoons of baking powder

For the cream:
-1 tablespoon cornstarch
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
1. In a bowl, mix the eggs with the caster sugar and cornstarch with a whisk. Add all the milk and put on medium heat and stir continuously until the cream thickens. Allow to cool.
2. In a separate bowl, mix the eggs with the vanilla sugar and caster sugar. Add the milk and butter to room temperature. Mix well until the composition is homogeneous. Stir in the sifted flour together with the baking powder. Mix well until you get a homogeneous composition.
3. Peel the apples and remove the spine. Cut the fruit into small cubes.

5. Transfer the obtained cream to a pastry bag and distribute it in a spiral shape.
6. Bake in the preheated oven at 180 ° C for 30-35 minutes. Baking time depends on the parameters of the right oven.
7. Remove the dessert from the oven and allow to cool completely. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
